I was in the same boat as your daughter. I was apart of a school where I was always the only world qualifier. I knew there was corruption going on but chose to continue. I choose to continue because I love dancing and I love competing. That came with competitions where I sometimes didn’t feel judging was fair. I was always realistic though and also aware of my biases towards myself (which everyone has). Sometimes I was disappointed cuz I knew the results were just not what I wanted. There were other times I knew it was corruption, which is when I would just push forward and get back in the studio because I loved it so much. Bottom line… if your dancer loves to dance on stage, keep going. If she is going for the win or the placement, quit.
