Flash had left shortly after Ice had. It took him a bit longer to find their old den, though. Flash had never been too great with directions. It was a miracle in itself that he even managed to find the Tundra again, he probably found it by accident when looking for something else. When he did find the den, though, and stepped into the familiar opening, he felt a pang in his heart. The intense, overwhelming feeling of nostalgia came flooding over him like a dam that had burst its walls. Pressing his ears flat against his skull and lowering his head, Flash padded a few feet further into the cave.
He saw his mate lying under one of the bearskin blankets, and he issued a low whimper, his tail wagging ever so slowly. He was glad that they were alone now in their den, to have a bit of time to themselves. "
Ice? Baby?" He whispered as he made his way quietly up to her, crouching low and crawling in next to Ice underneath the sheet of bearskin she'd pulled over herself. He lay his head on his paws as well and softly pressed his muzzle against her cheek. "
You alright?"
