(ooc: i have to go in a bit, but when I get back i'll go reply to our ice baby/flash thread. :D so far the winter's been crazy, every year for the last couple of years the climate gets more extreme. I shudder to think what the next summer will be like, looking at the last one. D:)

"Um, four fingers?"

Max leaned back again. "Oh, ok. Sorry about that. No, I was just testing your eyesight; I noticed you kept calling yourself average-looking, and, well, I beg to differ." There. She'd managed to get it out of him. He grinned innocently enough and took another large gulp of coffee. Deciding one wasn't quite enough after admitting he thought she was stunning looking, he had another.

A hand reached into his pocket and he took out the packet of cigarettes. "'nother one?" he asked, holding the packet out to her. He hoped she hadn't taken offence to what he'd said because, well, he did like her, she definately came across as a genuinely nice person, and it was just his luck (or lack thereof) that he really wasn't the romantic poetry-quoting type. Of course it didn't help much either that he had an odd sense of humour.

(OOC: omg, sorry for the crappy post. g2g :C )
