I think it's probably the fact that I gave her a reality check. She seemed to be much happier living in her own little world where you were a terrible bad man and she was the unjustly slighted nubile maiden. Theron's eyes suddenly darkened from a playfully condescension to a fury-filled glower.

And, quite honestly, if she knows what's good for her, she'll sit her blonde ass down and pay attention to more than herself for once.

Seriously, this job sucked. He was inches away from quitting and moving back in with his own father. Mind you, that would be six feet under the ground someplace back in Athens- but the principle applied.

Both of you are so incredibly immature I can barely believe it. I mean- honestly. My entire community, not to mention my family, were slaughtered by an invading Roman force. No offense to present company, but, Romans are total bastards when it comes to conquering. Very good at it, but rather harsh. I'm assuming you're both intelligent enough to remember what happened to Jesus? Not very nice.

He took a draught from his drink and fixed them both with a cold stare. Look, darlings, you're young, starcrossed, in love- but seriously? You think you have it rough, Karina? Telcotl's family ripped out and ate people's beating hearts for fun.
