Aha! So there was a colony. He still wondered exactly what it was, though. What did one have to do, or qualify for in order to be part of this colony? Did you have to be skilled in something? Some sort of "elite"? Homeless? Or were you automatically a part of it simply by being a shifter? Urgh, too many questions. It really couldn't be that complicated. One probably just had to ask, or something. And maybe do some sort of test. Or speak to the leader, if there was one. Whatever! You're thinking in circles, he thought, and temporarily put his internal debate on hiatus.

The somewhat awkward tension that he had felt between the two of them seemed to have subsided slightly, so as Lyla took a seat he did the same, leaning his back against the wall and sliding down onto the ground again. He drew his knees up a bit and limply rested his hands on his stomach, his fingers lightly tapping a rhythmless tune. So, maybe they hadn't gotten off too well for a start, but it didn't mean that the idea of some sort of friendship hadn't crossed his mind. It would be nice, getting to know this girl. Ezra had been living in Cascade for approximately a year and the only friends he had here were his cousins. Granted, Ezra didn't spend a lot of time in the city. He travelled a lot, preferably for free by either hitchhiking or train hopping and hopefully not getting caught doing the latter.

"I would say you should explore more. Do you plan on staying in the city? ‘Cause if you do I could show you around?"

He cocked his head to the side, thinking, and then nodded. "Yeah, I guess, that'd be cool." he shrugged. He enjoyed exploring, seeing different places. "It'd give me an excuse to actually, like, get to know the city." he admitted somewhat guiltily. Ezra didn't know how he could have been living in one place for a year and still not know what it looked like. Well, maybe he did, but that was supposed to be a rhetorical question.
