Most prices are around £11 plus per packet and I'm buying now B&H golds at £4.25 a pack which is around late 90s early 00s prices. That alone shows the mark up in taxes over the past 25 years here and from what you're saying it's much the same over where you are. Will they outlaw smoking in the future, although the talk is yes I doubt because of all the revenue the government gets from taxing tobacco products. Mostly around 6 billion upwards per annum Fuel prices are double from what they were in 2000. We had our fuel crisis because of Ukraine last year when we went from 99p a litre at the start of covid lockdown to some places selling unleaded at £2 a litre. Currently down to £1.40 at present today. Food prices are around 50-80% higher than 12 months ago and energy prices are crippling us. We've even had to be given government monthly payouts to help support the energy crisis but in 2021 on average it was £1900 per annum, from July our cost will be £3500 per annum. And thank you, I don't see myself as a libertarian as such but as someone who believes that it would be hypocritical to tell our kids not to do something that we as parents do and enjoy. As the law states, its illegal to buy tobacco products until you are 18. However it's not against the law to smoke under 18 so we're not law breakers. And if you already have 3 children smoking and 1 in waiting, then I would gather it won't be too long before he makes that choice to start. It's what kids do. Why hold back the inevitable, they are going to start at some point. And if you were to find a shop that would sell at duty free prices then I can only imagine you would be in smoke heaven. I've got 3 under 11, and 2 smoke and our youngest son doesn't. But he is only 2 years old but in a few years who knows. And oh, for as you put it the "sexual stuff". They are just fantasy not real people. And mostly not just talking shite but pretending to be something they're not. i.e. claiming to be women when they're mostly 60 year old men. When I wrote my previous post I was busy watching Real Madrid vs Manchester City. Certainly not weird freak of nature "sexual shite". lol And of course we have the ashes coming up. It's about time England beat Australia, it's been a long time since last did that. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
