High School America did away with this nonsense. If you don't win a state title, you can pay to go at-large as a "Nickname" state. Why fake that you're representing an area you don't have a connection to? Before you know it, there will be a Miss Guam, Miss Virgin Islands or Miss Puerto Rico because someone owns a timeshare there. Allison needs to think about this bad precedent she has started.
