"Really?" S'kar's grin broadens. "That's great! We need more Candidates." Glad that Divar seems to be headed in the same direction he is, the bluerider quickly shucks off his own clothing, the uniform deep swarthiness of his skin revealing either a tendency for naked sunbathing or a naturally dark complexion. The latter is probably more likely. Following Divar towards the water, S'kar notes the scars, but shrugs them off, on the basis that it's a bit early to be asking prying personal questions. Besides, everybody has scars, at least if they work in a Weyr. At the boy's question, he starts guiltily, realizing that he's rudely forgotten to introduce himself. "I'm S'kar, rider of blue Raskith," he says quickly, plunging into the surf. The additional question makes him laugh. "The brown is Smoke, and the little fellow here-" he detaches Smidge gently from the black hair above his right ear, and cups the tiny blue carefully in one hand, where the firelizard peers curiously over the edge of his fingers and rests his head on the end of his owner's thumb "-is Smidge. Alkyri, hmm?" He smiles approvingly at the blue as he wades deeper into the water, Smoke circling around his head. S'kar tosses Smidge into the air, and the tiny blue's wings whirr furiously for a moment before he stabilizes himself and whooshes tauntingly under Smoke's wing. The firelizard dealt with, S'kar dives into the water, swimming a good dragonlength out before surfacing and turning to grin at Divar. "So, how good at swimming are you?" he shouts curiously.
