Stopping the potential problem is much easier than getting you to quit an addiction. Congratulations on helping your daughter stop smoking. Do you know how here friend is doing in regard to staying away from smoking.

Even though you are very fair, you spank firmly. Was your daughter's friend surprised at how much and how long her bottom hurt from its conversation with your Jokari?

I do hope her friend is still not smoking. My next door neighbor Barry died of lung cancer in his late thirties. It is a very cruel disease. In retrospect your daughter's and her friends blistered bottoms are nothing in comparison to what end-stage lung cancer feels like. You did them a big favor if it is still working.

Good job Anna! I say that as a former smoker who started at age 28 and stopped in 2010. The problem is, it becomes an insidious addiction in short order. Everything seems okay at first and it's almost enjoyable. After some time passes, you start getting shortness of breath and so on... we all know smoking progressively damages lung tissue.

So, yeah, as a parent, do all you can to make sure your son or daughter understands first-off how bad they are.
