I would say it is middle school where it really starts! And where they would be too embarrassed to say they still got spanked.

I grew up in the late fifties/early sixties when spanking was so common we all talked about it. One girl whose parents did not believe in spanking even made up stories that she was spanked to fit in.

For me it changed when I was eleven. I began to think of myself as quite grownup. Nothing popped that bubble like a spanking! With me this made them more effective. I used to make vows (to myself) not to get spanked all Christmas vacation, all summer , etc.

Kids quit talking about spanking around age eleven/ 6th grade middle school. But that does not mean they are too old for it.

Of our five we had one like that. And only two were spanked age thirteen and above. One very briefly, but the other did not get her last until 17. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]
