I was wondering after spanking both boys yesterday for separate offenses, thinking how I spank them a little differently because of their ages. How do you spank with your hand? How do you spank with you implement?

My boys are 8 and 11, they are both spanked with my hand and hairbrush as our mom spanked us. I added the brush to my 8 year olds spankings earlier this year, before the brush it was a wood spoon, at 8 they graduate to my spanking hairbrush.

I start with my hand, but then quickly move to my trusty wood hairbrush on my oldest, I spank his bare bottom with the back of a wooden hairbrush much longer than I do with my hand, that started when he turned 10, the youngest gets more hand spanking than the brush at his age.

With both boys my hand and brush my technique is I will be going back and forth on each side, left cheek then right and across the middle the highest point then down through their sit spots and and then back to their adorable bottom. I do spend more time spanking their bottom then sit spots.

I am also a slow spanker with my brush, I’m in no hurry, although I spank with faster strokes with my hand and harder than with the brush making sure the entire bottom and sit spots have had full coverage. As Cordelia has said in the past “My whole vibe was "I have all evening if need be" and that is so me with my boys, they never come off my lap until they are bawling uncontrollably, even my 11 year old. There is tears and snot and they are reminded mommy is boss.
