Hello Trish, and welcome to the forum.

While spankings might be rare for your daughters, they appear to be good sound bare bottom spankings with a paddle. Effective parenting and effective discipline.

Both my wife and I selected spanking as our primary method of discipline because that is exactly how we were both raised. I told the story once here of when I was re-hanging my mother's wardrobe doors and after seeing her old wooden hairbrush on the dressing table, I could not help but pick it up and feel its heft. Why? Nostalgia for Mum's spankings, I guess. Of course she walked in on me, and was that guilty red-faced boy all over again.

Spankings are given over my left knee, with hand and slipper (though have started using Irene's hairbrush of late). A hand spanking with undies up, then another with bottom bared. A slippering to conclude the spanking.
