Nerilki regarded the drudge curiously. He didn't seem to mind being greeted- albeit by a slobbering canine. She still thought he looked familiar, it was a feeling that she couldn't shake . . .
"I mind. He's supposed to be better mannered.'
She glared at the open-mouthed and panting canine. She glanced at Ginny to reassure herself that she woasn't going crazy.
Fern slunk through the door, wide hips pushing past Tathan. Her ears were held close to her head, and she looked ready to bite someone. One corner of her mouth lifted in a wavering snarl, which got Ginny's attention.

Majestic, still sulking from the warning Avianyth had given him, grabbed the scraps of wool from Nerilki's hand.

Suddenly, his familiarity clicked.
"What's your name? Is it Tathan, from the trader group that used to pass by Southern Boll sometimes?"

((She was one of his friends when they stopped at Southern Boll. Or maybe she just remembered him from being introduced . . .))
