Indeed, you are right. You mustn't wait and remove the piece of glass as quickly as possible.
But once you've removed it, all that's left is a small scratch. It's no big deal. In fact, they don't even notice it after a few minutes.

I know that most children have very soft feet and would find it difficult to walk barefoot even along a hiking trail covered with sticks. My kids, on the other hand, can run on sharp gravel paths without breaking stride because of the hardness of their feet and their tolerance to pain.

My boys' feet obviously get extremely dirty. Walking around a supermarket gets their feet dirty pretty quickly, but they haven't had anything very bad for their feet yet.

They also go barefoot for sports classes involving martial arts, but on a hot afternoon when their feet are already sweaty and sticky, the dirty gym floor essentially sticks to their feet, which are 10 times dirtier when they get home.

That's right, Anita, it only makes them look worse.
