Likewise we're lucky we never got complaints from school (both primary and secondary). We looked through the regulations, footwear isn't mentioned, just "pupils are expected to dress appropriately". We agree with all our children that bare feet are very appropriate for a school environment, and of course they always have nice, clean and well fitting clothes from ankles up.

Our youngest boy actually just had his first school day ... he was so excited! On his first day in primary school he was the only one barefoot, he had a fresh haircut, a nice shirt and trousers, looking quite neat with his new school backpack! And I hope he won't be bored as he already learned to read and write from his siblings. I expect we can go on like this well into autumn, maybe winter, we will see. As mentioned earlier in this group they are surprisingly tough when it comes to difficult ground.

Four kids are a handful but with both parents working together it's not too hard to manage them all, they all go to school by themselves (it's not far), and "not having to deal with footwear most of the year", besides being healthy and fun, is also something that makes parenting a lot easier!
