I've done it. Did the LC 630 upgrade after doing the HI RES modification over the Christmas holidays. Had a LC 575 runnig 7.6.1 with 8 MEGS of RAM. I used the SCSI cable on the 630 connector to boot up the old 160 meg original color classic hd. The floppy drive worked perfectly.
After hours of work and much use of my continuity tester, the system booted up witha System Enabler from the 575. My system profiler described the system as a MAC 580 series computer with a 68LC040 processor at 33 mhz. That's the good part.
I noticed at startup, the absence of the familiar startup noise (my speaker is connected because I could hear the very weak warning sounds in the Sound Control panel- when the volume was at maximum). My screen became green instead of color (the same display we got used to before there were colored monitors). This happened at boot and any control panel adjustment did nothing. I did not try to adjust the color on the monitor side. Anything I should do?
I have a 630 power supply. Can I use it so that my 5400 mb can be used in my color Classic? Will my CC be able to boot up my 5400mb as is? Is there any place I could buy that power Supply?

thanks

Ted
