Stuart: I do have 512K total VRAM on the 575 MB. It rules that out. I'll now try cleaning the contacts of the a/b with a rag soaked in rubbing alcohol and pray. DR Webster asked me if I heard a crackling or something like that on powerup. NO but I hear the sounds that sound like a lot of high voltage static electricity when the system starts up. How can I tell if power is going to the picture tube? Is there an easy way to find that out?
As a final note, is it almost time to go back and undo all of my 2 cuts and solder to see if the tube will light up as Dr Webster suggests?
