I have tossed the Apple Built-In Ethernet extension into the extensions disabled folder.

When I click on Chooser, I don't see anything in either window. AppleTalk is listed as active. I can make it active or inactive, but no icons appear in the either window of Chooser. Is this where you want me to check to see if the AppleTalk is connected to Ethernet? I am not sure what you mean...

Could this be a problem???

When I plug the eithernet cable into the ethernet card in the Mystic, a green light comes on on the network card.

I found a CD called Apple Internet Connection Kit. It has a custom install that you can choose called LAN (for ethernet). I installed that thinking it might install something I was missing. No help.

I installed Eudora Pro 3.1.1 and configured it. Launched it, and got a message that says "Error Involving Domain Name System -3208"

Sounds like TCP/IP is not set up correctly or not working??

Currently I have TCP/IP set up as:

Connect via: Ethernet
Configure: Using DHCP Server
Search domains: pop.ptld.qwest.net

Pulling my hair out here! It has got to be something simple. But I am a PC guy and not sure what the basic set up is on a Mac. I am at a loos as to what to try next.

I am running 7.6 on this Mystic. 8.1 to arrive in the mail soon.
