Subject: Don't believe the morons!! 3.3v? BS! Extra Power? BS!

I am sitting here really pissed off. All the stuff I have read says I need a 3.3v regulator and an extra power supply to run a Gazelle board. I don't need either!

I have right here on my desk, a 6500/225 (with the apple video-in card, and a 56K comm slot modem) Power classic, without a second PSU, and without extra 3.3v power. Unless you are going to use pci cards or a G3 upgrade, you can swap out your 6200/6300 board for a 6500 without modification. The 3.3v is only needed on an alchemy board. The Gazelle boards supply their own 3.3v power, and don't need an extra PSU. (I am using a laptop hard drive, but I don't think it makes much difference, as 12v power is not in short supply in a CC.

Yes, this is a flame, and I do expect that it will be deleted.
