....we are replacements for the Guardians killed when other races got to the Gate.... Verdandi created us and placed the only entrance to the world in which Treyvan's people lived through a seperate Gate in the castle on our planet. now, we are not quite the same- none of us can have energy even remotely matching that of the main Gate, so none of us can be used as Keys like Treyvan was. we are more or less destroyers of those that get too close, whereas the origional Guardians were protectors. that is why they were all killed- there were not enough of them to fend off wave after wave of attack. Verdandi fixed that in our race.

Yularian is a fancy name for Second Gate Guardian. as such, my race can communicate with Verdandi directly at times. she tells us all of the creation of the Eyer when we are still very young.

him and the other three.... even in death, they were heartbroken to find out that Verdandi had replaced their friends and family with new guardians.... she still has a very soft spot for them, though. that is why she is reviving the other three. she can't replace them- but she does need Guardians....
