I had spent 7 months at Cam Ranh Bay and 3 months at Phu Cat in 1971 before I took my R&R to Sydney. On my first night I met a girl and she gave me her phone number and told me to call her. I called her the next morning. We met and spent the day together and had a great time. She took vacation during my entire time I was there. We had a wonderful time. It was like something that only happens in the movies. It was one of the best times of my life.
