Subject: Reunion Report 2016

Hello to all.

We had an outstanding reunion and were treated like royalty by our hosts, the 6th Security Forces Squadron. We had some wind and light rain from Hurricane Matthew the night before the base tour of MacDill. While on base, there was a light wind, but no rain. We had a great time.

The information presentation regarding current operations and training was outstanding, as was the live-fire SWT demonstration. The Defenders were sharp, full of energy and enthusiasm and highly thankful for our service. It was a pleasure to talk with them during several great reunion events.

There are two pieces of news that you need to know:

1. We held elections this year. Your new Board of Directors consists of the following members:

Greg Cain, President
Hector Ramos, Vice President
Bill Marshall, 2nd Vice President
Jerry Nelson, Secretary
Richard Garcia, Treasurer
Steve Shelt, Historian
Pete Piazza, Past President
Don Poss, Director of Communications
Steve Gattis, President Emeritus

2. We select our reunion locations two years in advance so that we can begin working with the Security Forces squadrons. The reunion site for 2017 was selected last year and will be at Lackland Air Force Base in October, 2017. The 2018 reunion will be held at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson, Arizona in October, 2018.

More information will follow in our next issue of Guardmount which will be published by our new volunteer Editor, Mike Kennedy, who served in the 3rd Security Police Squadron at Bien Hoa.
