One ear flickers slightly as she catches her friend's first comment, for she has keen hearing, but ignores it, knowing the same applied to her. Since the fact wasn't hindering their friendship, she leaves it be. She listens intently to Zaniel's answer to her question, face perfectly serious. When the other Qyne's voice falters, she grows curious, but because of the expression of Zaniel's face, Maeko let that pass, too. A broad grin quickly spread across her face as she realized Zaniel was going to join in as she had urged her to. When the toy Zaniel rolled lightly tapped the chirr's muzzle, delighted laughter bubbled up from within her, and she thoroughly enjoyed how the Niyia's expression flashed from surprised, when she felt the tap on her nose, then indignant, and finally to studious as she examined the ball Zaniel had rolled just as intensely as she had Maeko's. Still chuckling under her breath, she resumed the circles, and was slightly surprised when Zaniel joined her ball so they were interlooping circles, but did not even bat an eye. When the Niyia paused in her assault of the toys, confused as to which to attack, Maeko's mirth increased, and she joined in Zaniel's giggles. "Take no offense or anything, little Niyia. It's just funny, that's all. We're laughing With you, not at you." She addresses the chirr, since after all, the femme was intelligent, and might be hurt that they were laughing. In her laughter she doesn't notice the near collision of the balls, but causes one herself as she completely looses control. After a moment of uncontrollable giggles, she fetches both balls, which were rolling every in different directions, and apologizes. "Sorry...Couldn't help it!" And without further ado, she dropped back to her knees, and began to amuse the chirr once more.
