Subject: I didn't know Rugby was played in America

As far as I know, our football is what you call soccer and I always thought American football was the most similar thing to Rugby that you got in the States. It is very different in a lot of ways but uses the same shape of ball which is carried and passed back instead of being kicked around.

I'm like you though, I hate football (even though our guys were shorts) and American football, I'm not really what you'd call a sporty person.

If you're interested in learning a new thing about kilts - the different tartans represent different clans (families) and DD was wearing the MacFarlane tartan. At one time that's how members of different clans identified each other (I think) but now, most people only know the tartan they're supposed to wear.
Have you ever seen the back of a kilt close up? I always find it amazing cos it's sewn in pleats really close together so when you spin around it goes almost out to a circle at the back, when it's done properly it looks really cool.
