I kind of agree that I *HOPE* I never again get as obssessed by a TV show as I was with XF. I'm not sure my marriage would survive it, for one thing!
The funny thing is, my favorite currently running TV show is "JAG" (followed closely by "CSI") and occasionally I'll go by a JAG message board. Most of the people there know the names of all the episodes, the names of all the actors who portray even the minor characters, etc. and I'll sit there thinking "Why would the care this much?? It's just a TV show!" But, of course, I was/am the exact same way with XF.
I've heard good things about "Farscape", but we don't get the channel (SciFi Channel, isn't it?) that carries it. I, also, enjoyed "Cupid". Somewhere on the worldwide web there's an XF/Cupid crossover fanfic that's really cute! What was that other show you obssessed about long ago? There was a late 80s show called "Probe" that I really liked (it was kind of a forerunner to XF, IMHO) but, like "Cupid", it didn't even last its entire first season.
Actually, most of my previous obssessions have centered around authors, not TV shows, as I'm more of a reader than a TV watcher. Every few years I'll "discover" an author I've never read before and immediately dedicate myself to reading everything he/she has ever written, reading everything I can find about him/her, etc.
