I know during Requiem they kept saying they'd known each other 7 years but with the Pilot date it should really be 8. There was probably a big time difference between when the Pilot was filmed and when the show was sold and they started doing the "regular" episodes. Then I guess they just ignored the original date stamp and went by seasons with each season being a year.

While September 2003 would be a nice date nostalgia wise, September isn't a peak period for movie releases. that's when weak films usually are put out. We want XF to be a big success! Hopefully a summer film or late fall. And CC has also been given 2004 as the release year.

Mulder and Scully did first meet in the pilot but they'd heard about each other before. I love that fact that snoopy Mulder looked into Scully's background!
