how do you explain the dialogue between Mulder and Scully when she first walks into his office during the Pilot? I got the impression that she hadn't met him and was slightly in awe. They both seemed to know something about each other--he had her thesis and she had heard about him at the academy. I somehow think they knew of the other but hadn't met face to face until the Pilot.
