I like Seinfeld and you like The Nanny! ;-o) She was funny at times but I tell you, that voice of hers just got on my nerves and I could only take her in small doses.

I've said this before but it really irritates me the way the US entertainemnt industry is so jingoistic and doesn't like to look past it's own borders for entertainment. I love listening to music from other countries and I like to hear it in the native language it's sung in. But trying to find much of it here is difficult. And if an international star (Ricky Martin is big right now) becomes popular here the first thing they have to do of course is get him to record his music in English. Why? I think he sounds better in Spanish!
Other countries hear music from America all the time but we get so little of it here.

It's the same thing with television. We export everything but get so little of it in return. I think they just think we won't get the humor from England or Australia which of course makes no sense since what little we have gotten (Monty Python and Crocodile Dundee, to nme two) have been montrously successful. But the TV industry is very pranaoid. They only like to do what's safe. Talking of ripping off, that's done a lot here too. When one type of show becomes big here, shortly after there will be a dozen more trying to copy it. The latest is the success of Millionaire. All the other networks had to put on their own big money shows on but none of them have worked as well.

I wish we could see some more of your TV too!
Something like Frontline would probably be difficult if it makes fun of your own news stories. We wouldn't get the jokes. But I'd like to see some other stuff. That's funny that the farmer's wife from Babe is on TV a lot there!

Our TV channel, Animal Planet keeps making a big deal with notices that Croc Week starts soon! They put up messages like: Two More Days Til Croc Week! I think we are getting some new eps of Steve!
