I just read this. I have chased my Imogen along the street too. Very embarrassing. She won't come for anyone. If I get close enough she will drop and wait for me to get to her but if not then there's no hope of catching her. She's got beagle hound in her but mainly Jack Russel/Fox Terrier or something. Bad bad combinations. Just puts the nose down and goes. Always looking for greener pastures. Wants to be a lap dog but that doesn't happen often here. Both our dogs are outside livers and inside visitors. She gets lots of cuddles and attention all the same but being emotionally disturbed I think she just craves it and it won't change. She is also a houdini. She nearly got out tonight and there was a mad scramble to shut doors before she ran out.

The guinea pig hutch is finished. The Taj Ma Hutch, our friend called it. We now have 4 baby boys plus dad residing in that bachelor pad. Only one baby was a girl. The last litter [by mum number 1] is due in about two weeks. She looks small so I'm hoping for only 1 or 2 and hopefully boys as the Taj is big enough for more but the girls' cage is too small for any more than 4. So here's waiting.

I love animals. The kids' siamese fighting fish up and died yesterday so I had to run out and get another one before they noticed. Here I am saying that there'll be no replacements and yet I've replaced. Trouble is they get too attached and the grieving over a scabby old gold fish is unbelievable. It went on for days when the rats died. My youngest was distraught for days after the pet spider died. But that's life I spose.
