KS gathers up all her packages and hands them to IG. "Take these over to the house, I have something to do." IG nods in typical eager noromo fashion and skips out the door.

KS is almost out the door when Kande calls her back. "We need to discuss our trip to Mayorville."

"Uh...sure," KS twists her head nervously to look out the window. She doesn't want any of those "presents" she'd left under everyone's houses to erupt before she can remove them.

Kande brings out a file and sets down her cup of coffee. "S.O. and I will arrive at 1300 in Portland on May 3. We'll be bringing out bikes, 10 suitcases each, and smuggle in Bubba." She looks at KS sternly. "Remember to pack light. We don't want you taking up any more room than you need. And rent a spacious car so S.O. and I can stretch out our short, stubby little legs." Actually, Kande didn't say that about her own legs. KS edited it in her mind.

"We'll need snacks. Lots of 'em. The non-meatless kind." KS immediately decides to bring garbanzo and lima beans. That'll show Kande. "And you'll need to plot a route that will give us lots of potty breaks."

KS looks at Kande incredulously. She immediately decides the trip to Mayorville will include a survival course, starting with enlarging Kande's eensie little bladder.

"And we'll be bringing the Mayor a hostess gift, right?" KS remarks casually. She checks the window again. She can see Stardoe's house shrouded in a brackish cloud. Oops. Too late. She gives a philosophical shrug and turns her attention to Kande.

"...Blah, blah, blah in a large trailer behind the car," Kande finishes up triumphantly.

KS gulps. Obviously, she has tuned out something crucial.
