KS whips around, trying to figure out who just hissed at her. She spots Kande hiding behind a large, potted nordic pine.

"You'd be hidden better if you'd lose a little weight," KS tells her mildly, backing up out of punching range. Unfortunately, she completely forgot about Kande's crutches. "Ow!"

"Shut up and come in to my office," Kande hooks KS by her assassin utility belt and drags her into her office.

KS quickly checks to make sure all her weapons are working, accidently searing Kande with a flame thrower before she gets it under control. "What do you want? I'm missing the party."

"Isentthate-mail," Kande mutters quickly under her breath.

"Huh? What e-mail?" KS is only half-listening, "Born to be Wild" is being played by the Dancing Dana's and she starts doing her Elaine-like twist.

Kande grabs KS by the ears and forces her to face her. "I sent Scully that e-mail all the Shippers are so happy about."

KS turns pale. "What? Are you insane?! Besides, you live in the same town. The Mulder-Scully chateau is just around the corner from the klub."

Kande scuffs her foot along the floor by her oak desk. "You know how distracted she is during the season. I missed her."

"Oh man," KS plops into the nearest chair. "Now I know why Noromoism has a bad name."

"That's not the worst," Kande gulps.

"There's worse?" KS gasps. She starts mentally packing her suitcases. There's always time to start spreading the rumor that Rabid is her real sister, her twin, since they share the same birthday.

"I told everyone the Mayor wasn't celebrating her birthday this week," Kande whispers, shamefaced.

"You are insane! The mayor never misses an opportunity to amass gifts," KS squeaks.

"But she's going to be 40. Who celebrates their birthdays at such an advanced age?" Kande scoffs with all the confidence of one who is 1 year, 5 months, 20 days away from such an age.
