Subject: What Music Do You Like?

The current thread about what music would Brian like had he lived started me wondering what the people on this board like to listen to. I assume that everyone here loves the Brian-era Stones, but what else?

I'll start: I obviously love the BJ Stones, but I'm also partial to the Mick Taylor era. There are amazing live bootlegs from that era. The Ronnie Stones have their moments too, but mostly these are few and far between.

My other favourite bands are the Beatles (they were my first musical love), the Doors and Lynyrd Skynyrd. I also have a weak spot for a lot of Pink Floyd stuff, but not all of it.

I love the blues: Robert Johnson, Son House, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, etc., doesn't matter. I love 'em all.

I hate and despise rap music (a total oxymoron as far as I'm concerned). I was never crazy about disco. And I gave up on music in the 80s, with Boy George, George Michaels, Flock of Seagulls and all those other dreadful acts. Eeeek!

Present-day acts which I like: Mofro and the Tarbox Ramblers.
