When we consider which products to stock and which manufacturers to depend on, we want to use the Innovators books by Clayton Christensen to evaluate potential sources so we can make better decisions.
How would we know which businesses & what processes in a supply chain are interdependent and what's modular?
Why do interdependencies need modularity to surround them?
How can this be applied (in general) to small store retailing?
I know you like more specific details for indepth advice. I suppose after watching some Jay Abraham videos, it seems mroe fair to have the question and answer be general enough for many others.
We may end up changing store formats & product lines anyway.
There's something I remember (barely) about without overshooting nonexperts can't use rules & breaking rules from a Clayton Christensen book.
I don't mean this as a joke, though it sounds screwy - The statement I sort of remember seems profound. I think I almost forgot it because I don't know what it means.
Tongue in cheek way to say it - I have no clue what the profound statement means so I have no clue if it applies to our situation. If it does apply, I have no clue how to apply it.
