Author: S'peer -- Scarth
Subject: Mua-hahah. You can't get rid of me that easily...
In reply to: Massath & R'ven 's message, "*hums under her breath* Hit me with your best shot...." on 13:06:58 06/22/05 Wed

As intent as he was on the chase, blazing eyes still following Massath’s every move, Scarth did the dragon equivalent of a double-take when the green suddenly shot up into the air above him. One moment she was there, the next she was…gone. With a hiss of annoyance (at his own stupidity in missing her move, not at her eascaping him – after all, she was allowed to) he rolled over and twisted upwards – an easier move than going straight up in a line, as she had done. He didn’t have any of the rushing hormones that filled her blood, urging her on to greater speeds without a conscious decision. All Scarth had was a massive adrenaline rush (or the Pernese equivalent), and it would have to make do. He followed her up at an angle to ease the pressure on his wings, the humming in his chest deepening an octave in admiration for her twirling in midair.

As hot on her tail as he could be given the circumstances, the blue continued to fly after Massath as fast as he possibly could, unconsciously grateful for the design of his cavernous chest – his breathing was fast and a little ragged, but he could take in enough air to keep him going – even if it didn’t ease the growing pain in his wing-joints, the lack of oxygen beginning to tell. But it didn’t tell in his flight pattern, thank Fathanth; he still kept on going. When she levelled out he relaxed just a little, despite the need for going faster and faster that he still felt. But he could relax a bit because going horizontally was always easier than going vertically, and the glance she sent back his way spurred him on like nothing else could. He was slowly gaining on her…that knowledge sent a fresh wave of joy through his veins, the phrase “thrill of the chase” far too understated to describe what he was feeling.

Every single muscle in his body tense, every nerve sensitive to even the tiniest shift in the wind, S’peer’s gaze was unwavering. Nothing would convince him to tear his eyes away from the green in front of him…and he didn’t even know if the green he was referring to was human or dragon. The first time he did this, S’peer was embarrassed at the rushing feelings of lust that filled him up. But with every flight it became easier, and now he enjoyed the spike of adrenaline that ran up his spine – even if it did make it all the more difficult to keep his distance form R’ven. Especially when his rapidly-disappearing human side was noting just how little the rider was wearing in the shirt department…
