Subject: Cleveland dancers will go to Smyth or Brady Campbell
In reply to: To transfer? 's message, "What are the options for Academy dancers" on 14:48:52 02/18/24 Sun

I doubt the Cleveland dancers will go back to their original schools. All former Academy dancers that left since Christine Smyth started her school have gone there and seem very happy. She has done a great job with them. Seems as if it is the complete opposite of the Academy background that she came from and is a Catholic Irish dance school so some may not want to go there if they aren’t Catholic.

Smyth is one of the biggest ID schools in Ohio. She has done amazing things with her transfers and I heard they have 2-3 teachers in their small champ class. Even a Beginner to champ in 3 years with one dancer. All dancers get very good attention.

BC took Academy transfers before Christine started her school and they are great but with dancers that are related to TCs I wouldn’t pick that school if my dancer was in that age group.

So I don’t think that transfer would happen. Nothing against them, I just know what he told me.

The academy teachers targeted Champs from Burke when they first moved to Cleveland and solicited for them to transfer. It would be poetic for Burke to get Academy transfers
