Subject: Great Lakes/Glass City Feiseanna

Anyone who has attended these feiseanna previously: do you recommend going? Were they well-run/timely? Fair placements?

Anyone who is involved/from host school: who is adjudicating?

Thanks in advance for any insight/information; we have very few available weekends to Feis between now and O(multiple family weddings!) so we have to explore new options.

I’m not from the host school but Toledo IMO is not that interesting of a city to visit. If you are there to strictly feis, as it sounds, it is a good feis.

If you want a mini vacation that include dance, this really isn’t it. Science center is good and there are a few other things.

We do Toledo every year. They are well-run, plenty of camping space, good venue. Toledo Pride is the same weekend, so when we are done dancing, we head across the street to the festival, it is so much fun! You are close to the lake for a swim, as well. We have gone the last 5 years, and always make it an annual trip.

I’ve personally witnessed sketchy behavior at these feisanna. Teacher taking scores and looking at them before handing them to tabulation. Even going so far as to state what a certain number was…check past results and winners. Put 2 and 2 together. Don’t waste your money.

Also applies to other schools that had TCs named in the texts. New org is being planned. Keep your $ until then, my suggestions.
