Subject: Are mean girls/cliques a thing in Irish Dance?

Just wanted to ask, are mean girls/cliques still a thing in ID? I thought everyone moved past that after HS but in my experiences some of the schools are a bit clannish, esp. to a newer dancer and/or her family...

Not necessarily mean at times, but exclusionary. I love the sport but it seems a bit insular at times. Not knocking ID as a whole, so wanted to be up front about that!

It may be newer dancers feel excluded not intentionally but just because there has been an established clique there in place...I saw that at my studio in '22 when I joined but it improved once I got to know more dancers and families!
