Hi Paul,

This I think is a bad idea. Sorry, but especially
the TC loss.In this game a rookie needs his TC to be
a starter. Without the most important TC as a rookie it
is likely that he will get cut soon, as he would fail to
be good. In the NFL the players learn the gamebooks
all year long within this game only once a season at
the TC.

So this would be a setback for the whole career or end it
even very soon.

Also as the process is randomized. What about in worst
case exampel with Scotland ! They play the worst season
and then their only benefit the #1 pick does not come
to trainingcamp, the result is almost like loosing another
season.

This is not much better, and I still oppose it.
I think many teams have player like Frankfurts Bobby Phillips that would never be traded. If I would get
forced to do it that would ruin a lot of fun (i.e.
gaining the stats with him as a FRA franchise player).
Him or my QB sitting out a season would be a wasted year.

I fear that this could even make some GMs to quit the
league. As it is not a fun if such an incident ruins all
the plans to build a winning team.

As the process is randomized you cannot target it
against Austria. It could also hit the worst team and
force it to loose their best player (who maybe picked
off by Austria then !!!!)

Or what about your only K makes the holdout.
What K are left in the league after TC ?

>I think theyre a good idea ?

I have to disagree strongly!
I understand the intention to get more trades and realism,
however you have to realize also the reality of this league.

1st, a rookie without a TC is not worth much and
there is no place to learn during the season

2nd, the GMs in this league are not paid they are here for
fun. A rule that prevents this therefoer not good.

3rd,in a real team you can adjust the gameplan according
to personell (i.e. 3-4 or 4-3 defense) we cannot change
gameplans so a loss at a key position cannot be compensated

So it may be worst cases I show but it helps to demonstrate
the problems this idea brings.

Please find a better way to increase trading :-)

Bye and tschuess,
Marco
