Mel's gaze remained on him, steadfastly focused to his features. She didn't want to admit that he was handsome, but he was, and hse was realizing it for the first time. His words drew her out of her reverie, and she sighed. Dropping her gaze she nodded. I can only hope you're right... She murmered soflty, she remained leaning against him, but her gaze was directed out the window. You don't have an ugly heart. She whispered, unable to stop teh words from leaving her lips. Nothing about you is ugly Jayne. She dropped her gaze to the floor, and stepped out of his arms when he asked if she was better. The honest answer, no, but hse wouldn't tell him that. To tell him that would be admitting her need, her vulnerability, and she wasn't wiling to do so. I'm better. The words were just loud enough to be heard, but barely. Crossing her arms over her chest again,s eh moves to the door Bri had left through. The fight's over... She called to the other women before turning around and going to stare out the window again, face set in a quizical, pained expression.

One of hte babies moved within her, and it brought a smile to her lips. SHe dropped her hands to her belly, and laughed softly as one of hte twins kicked against her palm. Jayne.... She calls to him softly, voice full of wonder. C'mere... She holds her hand out to him, a smile on her lips. The baby's movin'. The words were full of wonder, to match her expression.
