There are more race "diseases" not only among the Filipinos. One of them is dying black or dark hair to a lighter color to look like a mestizo or mestiza (or just a plain white person) even though their features/skin color don't even match. Another disease is getting a nose job to get a more Anglo-type nose. Why are we being traitors to our own great heritage! It's that old colonial (and now American) mentality that white is better. We need to get out there and protest why our race isn't ever represented in America TV shows, music industry, movie industry and everything else!!! Why are the stars all the same races? Are we not as good?

A proud American Filipina
