Moina remained on all four paws, her own muscles relaxed, but her gaze still held anxiety. She watched Kosses intently relaxing slowly by degrees as the alpha settled onto her belly and stretched forward to sniff at hte pups. Ainle and Stella both hung back a bit, standing around their mother's front limbs. Stella eventually moved away from her mother's side, and edged closer to Kosses, extending her own head and sniffing curiously sa the bigger wolf. She didn't smell like danger.. she smelled a little bit like her momma. She sniffled around Kosses's nose and lips, and then worked her way up the other's jaw and when she came to the thicker ruff around Kosses' neck, her tail began wagging, and she took a mouthful of the course outter coat in her tiny mouth and tugged playfully.
Ainle watched all this hunkered down between his mother's front paws. Stella was definitely the more outgoing adventurous of the pair, and was quickly relaxing into a playful mood with Kosses, attempting to climb over the bigger wolf and tugging at her this fur. Ainle slowly ventured away from the protection of his mother's pressence and cautiously sniffed at Kosses, warming up to her more slowly than his sister had, but nonetheless becoming playful.
When both pups were out from under her paws, Moina slowly settled onto her belly, ears pricked forward, head held carefully, tension still running through her muscles. Her gaze flicked from the pups to Kosses as the other spoke, and she dropped her head immediately, not realizing she'd been challenging Kosses' dominance with her own tension riddled position. She smiled slightly and inhaled deeply before forcing herself to relax on a sigh. "thank you." It hadn't been easy... she'd lost one pup in the birthing... and that had been hard, but she considered herself very luck to have managed to keep these two alive.
