Most UBF members admit there are problems, but none of specified what the problems are. One person said that he did not witness 99% of the problems mentioned on this website, but did not discuss the 1% he admits to have witnessed.

Problems within churches are the business of all of the members. The abuse by UBF leaders are not just personal disputes between individuals. The abuse is evidence of a continuing environment of abuse by leaders against their members. When the problems are considered to be personal disputes, UBF leaders dismiss the problem by blaming the victim. I was blamed because I was proud, selfish, and failed to follow the spiritual order. In reality, everyone who has activiely participated in my UBF that left, stated that they left because of mistreatment by my chapter director and his wife.

Christian brothers and sisters should help each other with problems. All of us have faults that we do not realize and need correction and rebuke from our brothers and sisters in Christ. In UBF, this is one-sided. The shepherd corrects the sheep and is considered a good shepherd. But, if the sheep corrects the shepherd, the sheep is considered disrespectful, rebellious, and proud. My chapter director said that I was worshiping my own Christ in response to my efforts to discuss areas in which he needed help and did not realize it. I was also called an ego or self-centered Christian. UBF leaders do not consider themselves brothers and sisters with their members. My chapter director did not consider us brothers in Christ that could be honest and open with each other. Instead, he considered himself the absolute ruler over me and thus had no interest in listening to me.

In Christ,
PECAS
