This is our standard 5th grade web site at Lower Gwynedd. All of our front pages look identical (don't click on the links, we're not too good at updating our information). I selected this site because of the buttons. We liked the way the red buttons contrasted to the black background and white text. We had originally created the links as a button using Zygraphics.com. This used to be a free web site where you would input your text, make font and color selections and within a minute the site would create for you 3D banners and buttons. Of course, now you have to pay to belong.

During a search for banners and buttons I found this web site. If you have never seen a web site that will create downloadable files for you, I suggest checking this one out. The banners are animated for eye-catching appeal. This is a free service, although for the premium package you do have to pay. It gives you options on 4 types of banners, a template for what it will look like, where your text would go, and options for saving formats. Obviously, your choices are very limited but it's amazing to see how quickly it can be done.

Summer vacation planning is on my mind. I've seen a commercial for this web site several times on TV so I thought I would check it out. The banner at the top is basic enough, but I like how the font ties in with the color of the fish. The blue ocean background of the banner is inviting. I also enjoyed the compass rose design. I recommend visiting Sandals, quite an experience.

This is a downloadable graphic from barrysclipart.com free service. I enjoyed this button in particular. It's an animated blue ball with a drop shadow. It really seems to jump out at you.

The leading banner on this page is very basic. Big bold red letters spelling out Cannon, but the way the white outlines the letters gives it a cool textured look.

While I think this page is too busy with text, the buttons at the top of the page follow a theme. They each have their own color and symbol but are the same basic shape equidistant from one another. I like the gray background (with the rounded edges) behind them, making it a separate feature from the rest of the page.

I like the Puzzlemaker banner on this page. The shading from orange to yellow lettering of Puzzlemaker offsets the crossword puzzle in the background. It is also outlined in navy, which is the color of the heading for Discovery School's.
