...has been the plotline that blew these last 2 seasons. All love to cute babies and their parents, CC took a wrong turn that went no where. Too soapy as well. I didn't buy Scully running around on cases while pregnant, way too much stress. And then single motherhood with a different wack job chasing after Willy every week. Bringing in a baby has often been a sign of a show's demise (like replacing a character or the 2 leads becoming romantic-CC's 3 for 3!).

My best theory is that Scully's abduction had the aliens/syndicate mucking with her reproductive system. Somehow they made Emily from what they removed (they don't mention her-should check her DNA against Willy's to see if they show anything). I guess Emily was a failure as she died so soon. Somehow whatever it was they did made it seem like Scully was barren but really she was to create a perfect alien/human hybrid. She got pregnant by Mulder via the insemination or the unseen roll in the hay. Willy truned out different than expected but still powerful. Now why didn't Billy Miles and the others kill him or take him away at birth? What was all that running around in Essence/Existence for? They perhaps mistakenly thought Willy was normal? Don't they "know" things?

So Willy may not have been a perfect hybrid but he had some kind of mojo. And Spender was able to reverse this with whatever he injected. A 2 year mystery brought to a screeching halt. The super soliders don't bother me so much as we have met clones and shape shifters and so many other varieties of alien or hybrid guys so their OK. The stuff in the rocks, what's it called, is their ice pick thingy to the back of the neck. Why wasn't Rorher aware he was near such stuff?

Gibson perhaps uses his powers to get what he needs like food and shelter a la the kids in a Stephen King novel. They should have done a Gibson ep (or a Krycek ep for that matter) detailing stuff like that. I assume Skinner or D/R are now responsible for him. After that display in court, they'll be after him.

I think the prosecutor wasn't in on the conspiracy but realized he had been wrong by the end. Some of the judges may have been unaware, told to railroad Mulder but not been in on the alien thing. I think CSM had been out of the conspiracy for awhile. He knows the whole deal and perhaps was left alone for all his prior work but now he was too much a risk.

I had thought perhaps CC was going to play it safe and return us to a pre-baby, pre-shippy status for the movies. Well, I was wrong. CC might have some balls after all. Only thing is, where do they go from here. And when do we see it? No date is set. GA & DD are signed up I think but I'm sure both, especially GA, want a break. So maybe 2 years away? Stand alone or mytharc? I'd say mytharc now since thats unresolved. But a stand alone would be cool too. A big budget MOTW, real scary. Scully back into scientist mode. Only thing is, she'll now always believe Mulder's theories at once. Or can there still be the M/S argument scenes? How they're going to investigate while on the lam is anyone's guess.
