Subject: Deep Throat

Every time I watch this ep I'm amazed at how quickly the show developed the MSr. This is such classic XF, yet it's only the second show. The show isn't still feeling its way, trying to find its identity. It has it. Impressive.

If I were Scully, I'd be pissed at Mulder for not telling me about Deep Throat *before* going to the spud state. By not telling her about DT's warning, he took away her right to decide whether or not she wanted to put herself in what may have been a dangerous situation. Yeah, I think she still would have gone. But she may have done some things differently if she'd known.

I'm always a little surprised that, when Scully goes off on one of her tirades which lead to them going home and not investigating further, Mulder doesn't stay behind. Why is that? Does he see that she has a point? Is he having a flashback to his own childhood and his mother ordering him about?
