Dajan walked into the Dining Hall, seeing how everywhere else was almost deserted. The emotions hit him first. The air was almost sizzling with them. Just like home. Dajan grinned, and sorted through what he had heard. The redhair must want the gold that the brown-haired boy told the other girl that she'd Impress. Dajan flashed his white teeth again. He had gotten into the same predicament. He had told his cousin she'd probably get the queen flitter egg, and his sister had sulked for days. Walking up to the trio, Dajan tried to smooth the situation. "I'm Dajan, a Candidate here. The little queen gave me two eggs, and I'm looking for a place to put them. Do you know?" Dajan asked the flustered looking girl without red hair. "And I was thinking about the clutch. There's supposed to be a queen, right? I've always thought that it would be better if everyone who deserved the queen got one at their first standing. But not if the person thought they'd get it because of rank." Dajan's brows knitted slightly. He didn't like people who emphasized their rank or relative's ranks too much. It was annoying.
