I’ve made around 2000 ID dresses in Australia over the last 20 years or so. The vast majority go overseas, mainly to the US and Canada, but also to the UK and Ireland. After a couple of years off caring for my elderly parents, and Covid, I now make much less costly dresses. They are the same quality, easy to let out and let down, but usually have a bit less embroidery and crystals. I have less overheads than many dressmakers, which means I can charge around $800 - $1500 for a custom dress, plus maybe $300 - $500 in crystals. These dresses may best suit dancers earlier in their dancing career, but can be upgraded with more crystals over time. I also make quite a few off the rack dresses with crystals for around $1000 - $1500. I am fully booked at the moment, but please check my Facebook page!
