Subject: How long

How long did it take you to stop loving and missing your spouse?

I'm 9 months out from him leaving, He's been a complete dickhead ever since and still every damn day I miss him. (Before he came out he was a wonderful, kind husband. No cheating, just that one huge lie for 20 years about who he was.)

I found out last night by reading my 13 yr old's texts that he's considering a custody battle. She wants to live full time with him and he's actually looking into it. So he's hurting me in ways I could have NEVER imagined less than a year ago. And all because a child is inadvertently validating his decision to destroy our family.

Yet still, I love and miss him. At least I know one of us wasn't faking.

And I think that love is tied up in everything I'm losing ... My financial security, being able to stay home with my kids, my house, my garden, my social life, my car, the love of my teenager. So maybe it's those things that I miss most? But then I remember my friend, my lover (I thought the sex was great), the person who liked the same music and movies and food and travel spots and I wonder, will I ever stop missing him?
