"I couldn't sleep..." She murmured softly, her arms wrapped around herself and her phone held between her shoulder and chin. "I...was just..thinking about you.." She murmured softly, her hand running down her face. What was she thinking, calling him in the middle of the night? She shifted to light up a cigarette, taking a long drag as she stared inside her house and then opened up the sliding door to let Rocky out to sit with her on the porch, his large head resting on her lap with a whine. She shushed him, not wanting to wake up her boyfriend, she just wanted to talk to Jake - maybe if she just talked to him for a little while it would get him out of her system and she would be ok again, she would stop obsessing over him because that's exactly what she was doing, she was obsessing. She swallowed heavily as she thought about what she had been pondering earlier, wondering how Jake would fit into this kind of life...she couldn't see him doing it, playing the 'honey-I'm-home' part. She just saw Jake on the back of a motorcycle, that devil may care smile on his face and danger nearly simmering around him.
