 We adopted Bubba from Crest Care about a month ago from Las Vegas and we live in Colorado. Needless to say, he's not used to the temperature here and his coat has become a permanent fixture on his little body, especially at night. Bubba is learning to potty outside, and is doing really well. I've been going outside with him and telling him to go potty and he does great during the day, but here's the rub. It has started to get VERY cold here at night and he has been holding it until he came in where it was warm and then going potty in the house! I spend hours last night going out with him every thirty minutes and telling him to go potty for ten minutes or so and then we would both have to come back in and warm up (which I'm sure is a reward to him -- for not going potty!) Last night, it got so bad that he peed at the dog park at about four'o'clock and then wouldn't pee or poop all night or this morning, even after eating dinner last night! I'm not only starting to worry about my carpets, I'm worried about his little body holding that in! How can I help him get over his fair-weather potty habits?
